The pupils at the Currie-Henderson Academy of Irish Dancing have a wealth of experience in stage performance. From public events, corporate functions and concerts, right through to weddings, fêtes and festivals – they’ve done it all.
Our dancers have performed at major events all over the country, including Sydney Festival, the Mo Awards, Rugby World Cup, Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, Sydney Royal Easter Show, ANZAC International Military Tattoo, the Global Cultural Diversity Concert, Tamworth Country Music Festival, Sydney Swans games and much, much more.
They have performed in major venues such as the Sydney Opera House, Sydney Football Stadium, Acer Arena, ANZ Stadium, Sydney Town Hall, Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre and The Star – but they are equally comfortable performing for smaller crowds at pubs, clubs, hotels, weddings, school fêtes and cultural festivals. Miss Jan has also always encouraged all of her pupils to perform at nursing homes across the city.
Our dancers have performed for multiple Australian Prime Ministers, the Irish President, Pope John Paul II, foreign dignitaries, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Hollywood celebrities and sporting heroes. They have been featured in TV shows ranging from Sunrise, The Morning Show, Mornings With Kerri-Anne, The Footy Show and Time Out For Serious Fun, right through to Play School.
